This webinar is a response to participant feedback from the three regional SDFSC Partnering for Success forums. Attendees expressed a strong interest to have follow-up dialogue about continued collaboration, successes, challenges and best practice strategies.

Training Description: Video and Digital Storytelling: Capturing the Heart of SDFSC Programs with Digital Media Video is one of the most effective ways to communicate, especially when it comes to youth. It can be used to tell success stories, to get others interested in a prevention program, or even to help in program evaluation. This webinar explores the basics of video and digital storytelling, with a specific focus on how this media can be used in the prevention field. Learn how to approach this new media in a way that is supportive to youth. The webinar will include examples of videos and access to an expert in digital storytelling.

On this call, grantees will discuss their issues, needs and strategies regarding case management.

Project SUCCESS Conference

May 14, 2009, 2:00pm-3:00pm: "Overview of Fidelity and Adaptation Principles"
A facilitated grantee discussion on experiences in implementing Project SUCCESS and strategies and resources that work.

SDFSC Statewide Evaluation Conference Call Series

April 30, 2009: This call focused on reviewing the proposed outcome presented to potentially be used for the SDFSC Statewide Evaluation component.

The California Governor’s Program Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Technical Assistance (SDFSC TA) project ended on September 30th, 2011. The project was funded by the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs (ADP) and managed by the Center for Applied Research Solutions (CARS).

Publications and resources are still available to access through this archived website. If you are a California alcohol, drug or violence prevention program, you may be eligible for no-cost training and technical assistance services.
