The California SDFSC TA Project offers no-cost customized technical assistance (TA) and regional workshops. Read below for more information on TA.

Customized Technical Assistance

Technical assistance is tailored to meet the grantee’s needs. Our consultants meet on-site with local SDFSC project staff and work on specific areas as requested by the grantee. Topics include strategic planning, logic model development, effective alcohol, drug, and violence prevention strategies, evaluation, and other components essential to successful prevention programming. CARS also offers individualized TA through conference calls as deemed appropriate. Our technical assistance services are at no-cost to the grantees.

The TA Application Process

Grantees can apply for technical assistance by contacting a CARS representative, your ADP County Analyst, or by submitting a TA request form. Forms are downloadable or available from CARS upon request.

Once a request has been made, a CARS staff member will contact you to confirm your needs, and the TA request will be submitted to ADP for approval. Once approved, a SDFSC consultant with relevant expertise will be identified and the TA assignment can be scheduled and confirmed. Please note: when making a TA request, you will also have the opportunity to identify a specific consultant that you would like to work with.
